CrossFit Stafford Testimonials
My Story:
In highschool and college I played, football, basketball, rugby, and soccer. Needless to say I lived in the gym during those years. Then came normal life. At first, I was able to keep up and lived in the local gym, but then time started to disappear, I elevated position at work, finished a graduate degree, had 3 kids, started my own business, needless to say, the gym is one thing that kept getting put on the back burner. When I left college I was 6'3", 230lbs, and 7.3% body fat, (per the last football assessment.) When I started at Crossfit Stafford, I had inflated to 266lbs at 20.5% body fat. I wasn't happy about it and I needed a little push. Having the Crossfit guys waiting for me and expecting me at a certain time, made me roll out of bed and exercise. I started in June of 2010 and went everyday, from June through January 2011 and I went from 266lbs to 246 lbs, decreased my body fat from 20.5% to 15%. Starting in February I had to cut back to 2 to 3 days a week, but really started to pay attention to what I ate and as of March 1st, I am 239 lbs, and 14% body fat. I lost over 20 inches along the way and I am well on my way to my goal of 225 lbs and 10% body fat. I highly recommend Crossfit Stafford, they now how to push you at the right time, they keep the routines interesting and fun, and you never get bored. They guide you to results and they really start to show fast, you just need to know where to look. Crossfit Stafford offers assessments every month or so, and I highly recommend you take them up on it. It keeps you motivated. Gains are made in cycles, the first month, I dropped a little weight and a lot of inches, the second month I dropped more weight and only a few inches, the gains come in cycles and what you don't see on the scale tend to show up on the tape measure or vice versa. The before and after pics help you notice what goes unnoticed in the home mirror. If I wasn't so busy, I'd seriously consider getting my Crossfit Trainer certification, so I could join the crew.

"I heard about CrossFit Stafford from a friend/co-worker in January 2010. I was intrigued by what it was all about.
Each morning I would look forward to hearing about the WOD of the day from my friends and co-workers. I was living vicariously though these women whose figures were taking on a new shape. I could really tell that the workouts were changing their bodies and I was amazed at what I saw!!
After just a few months, I decided to jump on board. May 3, 2010 face book entry…”I laughed, I cried, but I’ll be back tomorrow”. All true…I laughed at what they expected me to do, cried (out of frustration and disappointment) when I couldn’t accomplish a burpee and returned the next day ready to go.
When I started out I had to scale most, if not all, of the exercises because I was just not strong enough to do them. I scaled push up’s by doing them against the wall. I did crunches instead of sit up’s and getting my chin the bar for pull up’s, even with the black band was a feat I never thought I would get close to.
Here I am 10 months later still going strong. I can do push up’s on my knees, full sit up’s and although still on the black band, I think I’m finally making eye contact with the pull up bar! I’m now down over 7% in body fat and 30 inches overall. I feel great! I am so proud of my accomplishments! I could have never achieved what I have without the support of all of the CrossFit Stafford coaches and the men and women that I work out with." Kristina
